Using AI to enhance, not replace, human creativity
AI tools can speed up workflows, unlock new ideas, and push creative boundaries when its used intentionally and strategically.
In the creative studio at the Tony Blair Institute, my role was to both creatively experiment with AI as well as find ways it could support all creative teams.
Here’s how I made that happen.

AI Imagery - Profiles of the Future
How do you make abstract policy ideas feel real? Instead of just describing possible futures, I showed them.
Using Midjourney and Photoshop Generative Fill, I depicted how Britain would look if the Tony Blair Institute’s ideas were put into action.
The Institute became one of the world’s first organisations to publish purposeful content with Midjourney’s landmark ‘V5’ model.
AI Video - Reimagined Lives
For the Institute’s flagship conference, we didn’t just talk about revolutionary policy ideas—we immersed attendees in them.
Using Luma DreamMachine, OpenAI’s Sora, and RunwayML, I created a series of short AI-generated films that played throughout the event. These clips imagined what the world could look like if key policies were implemented.

Content Production
I’ve conducted quarterly AI audits across the creative studio at the Tony Blair Institute, finding ways that video, design, social media and project management teams can use AI in their workflow.
This has led to the rollout of ChatGPT, Midjourney, Topaz AI Suite, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Adobe AI tools and more.
Creative AI Workshops
Since the launch of ChatGPT-3 in 2022, I’ve run quarterly sessions that showcased AI use cases in my work, and the work of industry leaders, to inspire new project ideas, workflow efficiencies and ensure that the Tony Blair Institute remained at the forefront of making the most of the technology revolution.

The Tony Blair Institute’s interactive experience ‘Reimagine the State’, a flagship product, was enabled by using AI tech throughout to create efficience and make the project affordable.
From Midjourney to explore early art direction, to GPTo1 to explore audience insights, to Adobe Generative Fill to perfect in-game visuals.
